CUSTOM WINDOWS
Do we install custom windows for homes in the Scottsdale and Phoenix metro area? Absolutely. In fact, at DunRite, every window we install is made to fit your unique window opening. It’s manufactured to the exact size of each opening when we place the order, not something pulled out of inventory.
You could even say each one is a custom window. That being said, some shapes are far more complex than others, such as circles, arches and octagon windows; bay, garden and bow windows; radius windows and other specialty shapes. No matter how unique the window is, DunRite Windows & Doors can help transform something old into something new.
Our process is exacting. We carefully measure your window (or door) opening, then order exactly the right size from our manufacturer. Once it arrives, we verify the size, product line and upgrades (if any) are correct, check it for defects, then schedule installation at your home.
It’s always a perfect fit.
We have a range of options to consider, including vinyl, fiberglass, aluminum or wood frames, plus a complete selection of hardware, grill and trim choices to customize the window even more.
If it’s time to replace your older custom windows, call us today at (602) 456-2227 for an estimate or reach out to us here. You’ll appreciate our 5-star reputation, attention to details and lifetime installation warranty for as long as you own your home!
Here’s What Our Customers Say…

The installers were efficient and cleaned everything up nicely. Our salesman, Sal, was awesome. He was very accommodating. He answered some questions for me about other windows and doors in my house. He offered my advice on some screen installation. He actually recommended a different type of company to complete the work I wanted done. (just like the movie Miracle on 34th Street). We were not happy with one of the choices we made with the door installation. We thought we would like our choice of framework but did not like the selection once it was up. Even though it was DunRite’s fault, they exchanged the section we were not happy with and did not charge us extra money for their time or the new materials.
I would highly recommend the company.

“Great! I appreciated that the owner was involved in all steps of the process from sales, to measurement, to post-install quality check and responded immediately to any questions I had throughout the process. He also gave me bottom-line figures from the beginning (which was greatly appreciated after a previous high-pressure sales pitch and “today’s deal” from another company), and pricing was competitive for the windows I chose.
Some windows could be fit in the old frames and some needed a “stucco cut” due to the lack of an overhang — the stucco repair was perfect and Sal explained the reasons for doing different types of installations. Everything was scheduled to occur as quickly as possible and I knew from the beginning how many days it would take from start to finish. The inside of my home was left clean each day and all window coverings replaced as originally installed.”
What is an advantage of custom windows?
Because they are made-to-order, carefully manufactured to fit exact measurements provided by the installer, custom windows always fit. Unlike a standard off-the-shelf window that may be a half-inch too short or an inch too wide, custom windows leave no gaps between the window and the opening. It’s a sleek insert that only needs caulking to create that perfect seal.
It doesn’t require exterior wood trim on the outside of the window, hiding ugly gaps that compromise longevity, waterproofing and energy efficiency.
DunRite Windows & Doors only installs custom windows, nothing pre-made or semi-custom.
What about custom windows in specialty shapes?
Details matter – and for some homes, custom specialty windows enhance the architectural design of the home, enhancing style and curb appeal. For example, a modern home in Ahwatukee might have an entire wall of custom floor-to-ceiling picture windows facing the mountains, and custom arched windows on the second story gables—and a tudor home in Phoenix’s Coronado historical district might have a window with thin white strips between the panes of glass (called grills), giving a window the look of diamond-shaped panes, in keeping with traditional tudor style architecture. In each case, the custom window is an important design element.
DunRite offers custom windows in any shape, size or configuration. Need a garden window in the kitchen, where herbs can flourish? We do that. Need a window turned into a door, or a wall removed to make room for ceiling-height sliding glass doors? We do that, too. Just ask!
