First met the owner Sal Sucato in 2010 when we bought our house and needed several window updates. Called him again when we upgraded our doors. Fast forward and 16 years after the first meet, he remains the same personable, dedicated individual that has always helped us out with our windows. As a realtor, all my clients are referred to him - phenomenal customer service, expertise, pricing and product quality. I wouldn't go to anyone else. Called him today for a possible warranty issue-he spent over 20 minutes researching, digging through old files and helping get the information I needed....he didn't have to spend that amount of time, but because he did, I wouldn't go to anyone else, nor would I refer a client to any other provider. Sal, thank you for all you've done.
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for your loyalty and trust over the past 16 years. Your kind words and referrals mean so much to our team. We’re always here when you need us!

Answers to Common Questions About Andersen Windows

Are Andersen windows worth it?

One of the most recognizable window and door brands in America, Andersen Windows is synonymous with high-end windows. But is it worth it? We install a high volume of them, and in certain circumstances they can provide tremendous value. The Andersen 100 line of Fibrex® windows are a step up from vinyl, made from a composite of wood fibers recycled from the manufacturing of Andersen wood products, and vinyl polymers, these windows are stronger and more durable than just  vinyl alone. And homeowners love the broader range of color choices, too. Learn more in this blog post, Are Andersen Windows Worth It?

Are Andersen windows energy-star rated?

While you’ll want to check documentation for the specific product line you’re considering for Andersen windows (or doors), most of their products are Energy Star® rated. Many people don’t realize that Energy Star ratings change based on where you live, and although a product might be Energy Star rated in one part of the country, it might not meet Energy Star rating standards for where they live. Therefore, it’s important to check, just to be sure.

The features, coatings and upgrades you chose will impact the Energy Star rating, too. For example, an Andersen 400 Window that includes Low-E4 with SmartSun™ and Heatlock™ might be Energy Star approved in Flagstaff, but not if the same Andersen 400 Series window is missing one or more of those upgrades. Arizona includes four zones.

In Maricopa County, a window must include a U-factor of 0.40 or less, and an SHGC of 0.25 or less to meet Energy Star criteria. Learn more in the article, Are Andersen 400 Windows Energy Star Rated?

Where can I buy Andersen Windows in the Metro Phoenix area?

We’re a big fan of Andersen products, and proud to offer the Andersen 100 line at a very, very competitive price compared to the Renewal by Andersen showroom franchises. Andersen products have a well-known reputation, and homeowners ask for them by name.

So where can you buy them? From dealers like us (whoot!), who sell and install Andersen product, from a home improvement store for those handy DIY’ers among us, or from a Renewal by Andersen showroom. If you’ve gotten a showroom quote, be sure to get one from us, too!  Learn more in our blog article, Where to buy Andersen Windows.

Andersen Windows, Renewal by Andersen… what’s the difference?

While products for both are manufactured by the same company, Andersen Windows, they’re sold in a different manner. Renewal by Andersen sells the Andersen Fibrex® replacement windows, which are stronger and more durable than a vinyl window. It’s similar to the Andersen 100 Series, a product we sell that also uses Fibrex, but it’s not exactly the same.

Because each Renewal by Andersen showroom is a franchise, they  set their own pricing, sales tactics and customer service. These can vary greatly, since each showroom is independent. We are always happy to provide a quote for the comparable Andersen 100 product, since our pricing is typically much better than most franchises.

The style of frame and warranty may also differ between Andersen and Renewal by Andersen. For more detail, check out our blog article, Are Renewal by Andersen Windows the Same as Andersen Windows?

Are Andersen Windows worth it?

We’re a fan of Andersen Windows, especially the Heritage line, and the Andersen 100 line of Fibrex® windows. They’re a step up from vinyl, less than fiberglass windows and more practical than wood. Made from a blend of recycled wood fiber from their manufacturing facility and polymers, they’re more durable than a vinyl window, with a longer lifespan. They’re also very similar to the Fibrex windows sold by Renewal by Andersen franchises at a much more affordable price.

They’re the only fully composite product offered by Andersen Windows, since their other product lines combine a mix of wood interiors with Fibrex, vinyl or aluminum exteriors. Andersen 100 windows are more expensive than vinyl windows from other manufacturers, but well worth it, in our opinion. Learn why in this article on our blog, Are Andersen 100 Windows Good?

Where are Andersen windows made?

Andersen and Renewal by Andersen products are made in the United States, mainly in facilities located in Wisconsin and Minnesota. They also acquired a high-end windows and doors manufacturer in Quebec, Canada (MQ), and one in Gilbert, Arizona (Heritage Windows & Doors).
