While all of the Milgard product lines are excellent, we especially like Milgard’s Trinsic™ Series of vinyl windows, which has an attractive narrow frame that gives homeowners the maximum amount of glass in their windows. It’s a lovely, unobtrusive frame with a modern style that appeals to many of our customers.
Plus, options for white, tan or black frames—or a white interior with a choice of exterior colors (white, tan, black, bronze, expresso, classic brown and silver)—ensures our customers can choose a style of replacement windows that enhances the beauty of their home, inside and out.
And unlike many factory-painted finishes on vinyl window frames, Milgard’s new coating technology is so durable that the exterior finishes meet the same tests for color and gloss performance as a standard vinyl color.
The longevity is remarkable, thanks to their proprietary translucent paint, which allows UV rays to pass right through the paint so it doesn’t crack and dull over time.

The installers were efficient and cleaned everything up nicely. Our salesman, Sal, was awesome. He was very accommodating. He answered some questions for me about other windows and doors in my house. He offered my advice on some screen installation. He actually recommended a different type of company to complete the work I wanted done. (just like the movie Miracle on 34th Street). How does Milgard Compare to Andersen and Pella?
Considered a mid-range manufacturer of replacement windows when it comes to pricing, Milgard offers products that are similar to some products offered by high-end brands like Andersen and Pella. For example, all three offer fiberglass product lines, and vinyl or vinyl composite products. However, Milgard does not offer wood replacement windows, or aluminum-clad wood windows; but when it comes to vinyl, fiberglass and aluminum replacement windows, Milgard offers excellent choices. They also offer a thermally improved aluminum window, which is the only fully aluminum product DunRite sells.
Who Owns Milgard Windows?
Milgard was acquired by MI Windows & Doors in 2019, which is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl and aluminum windows and patio doors. In addition to Milgard, they’ve also acquired Sunrise Windows & Doors, General Aluminum, BetterBilt, Capitol Products and have manufacturing plants across the country.
